Squinting Looking up Thinking Hard...
This reminds me of something...I'm searching for the memory...ahhh HA...there-it-is...It reminds me of 2 things...first: I remember when we used to hug. I was a little girl...I would be in your arms with a smile on my face thinking...Yes he will I know he will...(me)TAP...(you)TAP...(me) TAP TAP (you) TAP TAP (me) TAP TAP TAPTAP TAP (you) TAPTAP!!!!! Second: I was walking through and open field -When I heard the sound of TwoFlat pieces of woodclap together; The Sun Blinked its lightoff-and-on Several Times- Quickly, and I heard, throughout the sky -The voice of a Grocery clerk attendant, saying: "Good evening EARTH Shoppers . . .We will be closing in Fifteen minutes. . . we will be Closing in Fifteen minutes.. . . . . . . thank you.................(you) and then what happened!!!! (me) in the far distance you saw the cutest little girl with black spirals dancing on her head. Her arms were reaching, stretching, twirling. Her head tilted back eyes closed.......(me) and then what happened daddy??? (I loved making up those wonderful stories)!!!!
A VERBAL CARTOON:
I was walking through and open field -
When I heard the sound of
Two
Flat pieces of wood
clap together;
The Sun Blinked
its light
off-and-on
Several Times
- Quickly, and
I heard,
throughout the sky -
The voice of a Grocery clerk attendant, saying:
"Good evening
EARTH Shoppers . . .
We will be closing in
Fifteen minutes
. . . we will be
Closing in Fifteen minutes.
. . . . . . . thank you."
Kind of crazy, but
There it is . . .

THE "ROBE" IS ABSOLUTELY, AND POSITIVELY A "FACT" - BEYOND THE SHADOW OF A DOUBT.
TELL THAT TO YOUR MOM.

Robe??
For the life of me I can not remember the robe?? Bummer...I think that would have been a super memory...When I told Darin about what you wrote...I told him how lucky I was that I was a part of a church that would begin shaping my gift so early...enough so to have a special robe made for me...wow!! Thank you Bellflower Church of God...

Memories
I was remembereing you singing, "I'm going up yonder".
How the entro was no rhythm, and you would improvise - "If you wa'na know." . . .
"Where I'm going." . . . "Where I'm going." . . . . . . . . "soon" (pause) . . . "I'm going up (Rhythm starts on word "Yonder,")
Wow, you would shock those people - a little child singing in tune, with dynamics, emotion, and vibrato.
I was also remembering when the Church of God choir got new robes for Christmas, or something, and they also made a little robe for you. There you were in your little robe that looked just like the adult's robes - singing a special song with your mom backing you up on auto-harp.
What beautiful memories -
love you, honey.
Dad.

Very Good.
Good, honey.
In these days, there are two books (only) that I can read, and that minister to me.
"My Utmost for HIS Highest" by Oswald Chambers, and "The Hungering Dark" by Frederick
Buechner - and of course THE SCRIPTURES, but THEY are far more than books.
My copy of "Utmost" is at my job at my station. Its the one that has Champer's exact words -
not paraphrased. I have nothing against other translations, it's just that this is the transtlation
Frank Rice sent me - from God (and believe me this is true) during the worst time in my life.
I had never heared of the book, before.
Good, baby.
We'll do it.

It's not working...
ok so the book of the bible thing just isn't working for me write now...sorry...I just started my utmost for His highest by Oswald Chambers and I thought since I know you have that book too maybe that would work better...if it doesn't work for you that's ok but that's the tool I'm using write now to plug into the word...
so I'm on day two and I keep running over the last sentence in my mind...so much so that I'm up writing this to you...the day is titled "Will you go out without knowing"?...and the last line is this...You must learn to "go out" through your convictions, creeds, or experiences until you come to the point in your faith where there is nothing between yourself and God. Could you imagine that dad...what if in your faith there was nothing between you and God...what would you hear him say...how far would we go to do His will?? What does that even look like??? How do we get there??? Maybe the first step is to identify what is standing between us...what sin has crept into my life that I excuse away, what flashes of glitter steel my attention from my precious God...what do I hold up in my hands above my head shouting NO I WILL NOT LAY It DOWN this is more important than You...
yes...I think I'll start there...
I love you my father...pray for God to reveal truth to me concerning this...

Luke 2 got me thinking about Matt 2...
my thoughts:
Nothing can stand in the way of God's plan...Nothing....but...it's not always easy that's for sure...we know that huh dad...we may also have to bob and weave a few of the devil's body blows and sucker punches...but if we stick to the plan and believe in the promise...it WILL happen...also the thought comes to me that when you are following Gods plan looking for His direction you can't allow yourself to be influenced by circumstance...saying to yourself "well maybe because this happened God doesn't want me to do this" or "surely He didn't plan this to happen so it must be a sign"...Stay connected to God the whole way through so you can see beyond the circumstance
to God's true plan...

". . . The Holy Child" - Luke 1:35(b)
Beautiful thoughts, honey.
I believe that the Holy Spirit really came upon Mary, and Something overshadowed her - if someone would have asked Michael the angel, "what is This that is directly above Mary?" Michael would have said, "It is the POWER of The Most High." And, at this time - Mary conceived.
I'm reading Luke, too - baby.
Dad.

Luke...
Luke 1:39-45 from the Message
Mary didn't waste a minute. She got up and traveled to a town in Judah in the hill country, straight to Zachariah's house, and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby in her womb leaped. She was filled with the Holy Spirit, and sang out exuberantly,
You're so blessed among women,
and the babe in your womb, also blessed!
And why am I so blessed that
the mother of my Lord visits me?
The moment the sound of your
greeting entered my ears,
The babe in my womb
skipped like a lamb for sheer joy.
Blessed woman, who believed what God said,
believed every word would come true!
I love so many things about these scriptures...I love all the responses most...the responses to our Lord Jesus Savior of ALL...but I'm choosing to bring out this one... Blesses woman, who believed what God said, believed every word would come true! What would have happened if Mary would have doubted? I'm sure God chose Mary because He knew she would not but I guess my thought makes me think of how many times we doubt and things in our life just don't happen only because we have chosen not to believe...and when she believed is this when conception happened? I know there isn't a way to know for sure but these are the things that run through my mind as I read this story...I remember one time when Robin Garvin spoke on this passage she said she wondered of every Jewish girl waited in excited anticipation of being "the one" chosen to carry the Messiah...I love this thought...anywho...just some thoughts on the subject...love you dad...
